MACBETH: DIRECT FROM LONDON
Last Friday Year 10 had the privilege of seeing David Tennant and Cush Jumbo in a filmed stage production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, direct from London's Donmar Warehouse Theatre. This immersive cinema experience placed the audience inside the minds of the Macbeths, asking us to consider the question of agency and are we ever really responsible for our actions? This special screening of the production was organised by Ms. Parker from the English Faculty to support the learning of all students. We will continue our study in class across the coming weeks, with a mixture of dramatic readings, language analysis and critical interpretation.
